Bud Vases

$40.00

These are hand-built pots, usually asymmetrical, with no intention of being perfect; rather, artistically functional. All are high-fired stoneware, approximately 5" tall and 2" at the base. I like to use found objects, such as old gears, dried oranges, and walnut shells, to stamp the clay surface during construction.

These vases are great for events and installations, such as weddings, showers, receptions. Please contact me directly if you have an interest or specific need. Custom orders are available; color, design, size, etc.

I make these vases to be different from each other. Each one has its own personality. I like the beauty of imperfection. Hopefully, you will never find two of my pots that are exactly the same.

Please do not hesitate to contact me directly for additional pictures, or to single out a specific pot(s). Vases are sold as one each.

Variations:

Blue Variations: I always like shades of blue; sky, deep sea, floral, electric, midnight. I will often layer blues to create deeper tones and shade movement.

Orange Hi: Orange is Nature's outgoing personality. It always wants to be seen; Marigolds, Daffodils, Day Lilies, Tangerines, Zinnias. I use a variety of shades in order to create contrast and depth.

Lamb's Ear: I have a patch of Lamb’s Ear in my garden, and wanted a vase that reminded me of that soft green color.

Red: Red is so bright and merry, I wanted it to show its deeper, darker side, so I have layered multiple shades starting with blood stone to create depth, adding a cherry finishing.

Yellow: I love yellow. It can be mellow and subtle or glaringly, sun bright. I’ve tried to add a little of both in this collection.
