Eyes on clay just seemed natural. Like Moari, Incas, Druid and First Nation art where God, nature, the universe are all watching. I appreciate the unexpected mark that reveals and makes something special. All of these are influences.
I think part of being out in Nature is what do you see? The other part is what in Nature is seeing you?
This is a hand-build bowl. I like the slower hand-built process versus wheel thrown. I end up with a pot that is a little more like nature, not quite perfect.
This bowl is made from high-fired, stoneware. The bowl is 7 1/2” diameter and 5” high. Typically, stoneware is food and oven safe, however, I don’t think I would put this piece in the oven, and would most likely wash it by hand.
